The Circle of Fifths
Slowly her fingers moved across the white keys,
One note following another,
Her careful voice explained as the notes came ringing from the piano.
She played it over and over, as my numb fingers attempted to follow.
Now, I sit alone.
My fingers sub-consciously following the notes she taught.
Will their sound bring her back?
