2002-04-28 - 1:20 a.m. The price of a broken toe i wish i could be there on opening night, to hear our song echoing through the theatre. It'd be like coming home. i wish i could be there to share in the energy, to allow my tears to flow through embraces, to hide my sorrow with nerves. i wish i could be there to witness your brilliance. For the hours of pain to be come a forgotten memory as i lose myself in your art. i wish i could be there when the lights have gone out, so that i could share in the euphoric high of applause and the inner sigh of release. i wish i could say how you've affected my life, how a laugh with you has meant more then a thousand shows, how i'll treasure every moment, every laugh. but i can't. What you've given me is beyond words. All I can do is offer you my thanks, and softly say I love you.
