This isn't technically a poem. These are the lyrics to a song i just finished. Written like this, they seem a bit repetitive, but in musical form they work fine. i just wanted to clarify, in case anyone thought i was trying to be artistic repeating myself a dozen times. Anyway, here it is... Sitting here, all alone i think of you. i think of you sitting all alone- wrapped in your silence, your silence. Lost in your silence, alone. Sitting here, all alone i think of you. i think of you. i thought i knew you, i thought i knew. But i never really knew at all. i heard music in your eyes, in your eyes. i heard music in your silence. Your silences were silent songs. Silent songs. But, oh... When did the silence grow so long? When did the silence grow so loud? What happened to our silent songs? Sitting here, all alone, i cry. i cry for you. i cry for you. But, in your silence, you don't want to hear me cry. You don't want to hear me cry for you. Wrapped in your silence you don't know i'm drowning. i'm drowning in your silence. Lost in your silence, alone.
