So often fooled, this heart of mine,
and still i think of you.
Still, i mourn your smile-
your honest, crooked smile.
How often you deceived me,
but one look from you,

and i was yours again.
Am i that way for you?
The memory of dreaming, which forever fails to fade?
The great ‘What If?’
The never quite forgotten?
Yes, long out of sight, but truly out of mind?
i can’t help but wonder.
