Staring at the fire, i can feel the heat
but i will not back away
i deserve this.
In the flames i can see all the remnants of a foolish dream,
felt by my foolish heart
i can feel the foolish tears begin,
and i quickly wipe them from my burning cheeks.
i am too old for this.
